Junior/Senior High School Student Schedules:

Class schedules for all registered SJNRA Junior/Senior High School students will be mailed out by the end of the week.

Academy Sports News from Mr. Frank Lupacchino, SJNRA Athletic Director:

 1.  SPORTS PHYSICALS:  Free Sports Physical Exams will be conducted on Thursday, 12 August 2010 at 7:00 PM by Dr. Bill Keenan in the HS Nurse's office.  Any students that  "EXPECT TO PLAY IN ANY" sports or cheerleading throughout the school year should attend this session as it may be the last available date for physicals during the year. If you already had a physical exam in June, you will not need to have another physical.

Individuals will need to complete and bring the "PIAA COMPREHENSIVE INITIAL PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL EVALUATION (CIPPE)" form for the physical exam to be accomplished.  The form can be obtained in the HS office or from the Athletic Director in room 213 or right outside his door in a folder on the wall.  Or you can download the form from the St. John Neumann website by going to:  "sjnra.org" and click onto "High School" and on the left side of the page is the PIAA  "CIPPE"  physical exam form.  Make sure you use or download the CIPPE form that has sections 1 thru 4 and it is a two page (front & back) form.  Insure SECTIONS 1 THRU 3 are entirely completed and signed by the parents and SECTION 4 will be completed by the doctor.  If you have any questions, contact Mr. Lupacchino at 323-9953, ext 217.

9.  NEUMANN PARENTS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (NPAA) MEETING:

There will be a meeting of the NPAA on Tuesday, 10 August 2010 at 6:00 PM in the HS Library.  Since this is a new school year and many new students becoming involved in the school sports programs, they are encouraging parents to attend this meeting so you can become involved in supporting your children's participation in the various sports programs.  This Association has been a major supporter of the overall school athletic programs and has raised over $14,000 in order to purchase new equipment, uniforms, awards and medical supplies.  It only involves volunteering an occasional few hours to work in the soccer and basketball concession stands, which are the only areas in which they raise funds.  For information, contact the Association President, Mr. Kevin Way at 447-7000.

10.  SPORTS ATHLETIC FEE:  Just a reminder that students that are participating on a sports team, they are required to pay the $30.00 sports athletic fee for each sport that they participate in during the school year. There are no reductions for participating in two or more sports or if a family has two or more youngsters participating in sports.  It is a flat $30.00 fee for each sport that an individual participates in.  The fee must be paid before their team uniform will be issued to the athlete.  Make checks payable to St. John Neumann and the payment can be paid at the school office or with Mr. Lupacchino in room 213.  School vouchers can be used for payment of the athletic fee.

11.  SPECIAL REDUCED PRICE FOR BASKETBALL SEASON TICKETS:  We currently have a special reduced price for basketball season tickets.  For adults the price is $20.00 (normally $25.00) and for students $5.00 (normally $8.00).  These season tickets entitle you to any 10 home games for Varsity Boys or Girls games and/or for Junior High Boys or Girls games.  Tickets can be obtained from Mr. Lupacchino in room 213 or you can mail in your payment and the tickets will be mailed back to you.  Make checks payable to St. John Neumann.
