SJNRA Position Opening:
St. John Neumann Regional Academy has the following position opening:
· Elementary Teacher’s Aide: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
Preferred candidate will have some experience working with children. Must have or obtain updated Act 34 and Act 151 clearances. Interested persons please email Mrs. Susan Kaiser, SJNRA System Director, at

Registrations:
Thanks to all of the SJNRA families who have registered in a timely fashion. For those who still have not registered for the 2010-11 school year, please do so ASAP as class sizes are filling up and we need to make arrangements for books and supplies. Junior/senior high school students who have not yet registered will not receive a student schedule for the 2010-11 academic year. Availability on certain high school classes is limited, and without a completed registration form, with the appropriate fees paid, students will not be guaranteed to have the classes that they signed up for in the spring. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Technological Advancements:
We are pleased to announce that we have acquired 72 new Dell laptops for the junior/senior high school campus. These new laptops will be utilized by students in all grades, 7-12.
Upcoming Open Houses/Orientations:
In preparation for the 2010-11 school year, SJNRA will be hosting Open Houses/Orientations at the following days and times:
Monday, August 16: Elementary Campus Open House. Parents and students-please feel free to stop by anytime between 5:30 pm and 7 pm. You may tour classrooms and meet teachers and staff.
Tuesday, August 17: High School Orientation and Open House. Orientation for all seventh graders and new students and their parents will be held at 5:30 pm. Open House will be from 7-8 pm.
Wednesday, August 18: Sheridan St. Early Childhood Center Orientation and Open House. Parents and students encouraged to attend. Program begins at 5:30 pm.
SJNRA Gym Wear Sale:
Stop by the High School Campus to purchase your gym wear for the 2010-11 school year on the evenings of Monday, August 16 from 6-8 pm and Tuesday, August 17 from 5-8 pm.
PIAA Physical Forms Now Available On-Line:
The PIAA Required Physical Forms are now available on our website. Every 7th-12th grade SJNRA student who plans to participate in a school sport must have the form filled out by a physician prior to the start of the practice season. Below are links to the required forms:

Neumann Parent Athletic Association (NPAA):
The NPAA will be meeting throughout the summer on behalf of the athletics for the high school. You are encouraged to be involved to support the athletes; all parents are invited to help with this valuable committee. Therefore, your monthly attendance at the NPAA meetings will fulfill your volunteer commitment for the school year. Notices will be emailed to inform of the upcoming NPAA meeting date, and during the school year is noted within the Athletic Director’s message. NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, August 10 at 6 p.m. in the High School Library. Please join us for the upcoming 2010-2011 season!
Service Opportunity for SJNRA 7th-12th grade Students:
On Saturday, August 14, the 140th Cascade Picnic will take place at the Cascade Picnic Grounds in Bodines from Noon until 7 pm. Volunteer help is needed in the following areas:
1) cleaning picnic grounds on Tuesday, Aug.10th, 4 pm to about 6 pm; rides to and from are available at the St. Ann's church parking lot at 3:50 pm
2) the day of the event to help clear tables from 1 pm - 7 pm

Outdoor Mass at 4:30PM; Dinner Noon-6 pm
