A beloved pioneer of Catholic education has passed away.  It is with sadness that we announce the death of Monsignor Francis J. Castellano, Pastor Emeritus of Mater Dolorosa Church.  Monsignor passed away on Wednesday, June 30.

The viewing for Monsignor Castellano will be on Monday, July 5 from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Monsignor Castellano Parish Center, adjacent to Mater Dolorosa Church, 635 Hepburn Street, Williamsport.  A Mass of Transferral will follow at 7 pm at Mater Dolorosa Church.

A Pontifical Mass of Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 6 at 11 am at Mater Dolorosa Church, with a luncheon immediately following in the Parish Hall.  Graveside Burial Services will be held at the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton at 3:30 pm on July 6.

The Board of Governance, Administration, faculty, staff, students and families of St. John Neumann Regional Academy offer our deepest sympathy, prayers and condolences to the family of Monsignor Francis J. Castellano.
