Yearbook Photos Needed:
The SJNRA Yearbook Committee still needs pictures from JV Girls Basketball, the Sports Awards Banquet, Baccaluareate, and Graduation. The pictures can be emailed to
yearbook@sjnra.org or copies can be dropped off at the HS Campus Main Office.
SJNRA Sports News:
1. Any students interested in participating in the following Fall Sports need to sign up with Mr. Lupacchino in the High School Athletic Office, room 213:
Co-Ed Varsity Golf
Girls Varsity Tennis
Girls Varsity Soccer
Boys Varsity Soccer
7/8th Grade Girls Soccer
7/8th Grade Girls Basketball
7/8th Grade & Varsity Football (Co-Op with Loyalsock)
Cheerleading
Individuals need to sign up before school is finished on 11 June so that we can determine if we will have enough players to field a team.
Any 6th grade girls at the Elementary School that are interested in playing Jr. High Soccer or Jr. High Basketball can sign up by calling Mr. Lupacchino at 323-9953, ext 217 or by email at: athdir@sjnra.org
2. Sports Physicals (Free) for any individuals that will participate in any of the above Fall Sports will be conducted on Wednesday, 9 June 2010 at 11:30 AM in the H.S. Nurse's office. This will be the only sports physical exam that will be conducted until the Winter Sports Season starts. Athletes must obtain a physical form from Mr. Lupacchino and THE FIRST THREE SECTIONS OF THIS FORM MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE PARENTS BEFORE THEY CAN TAKE THEIR EXAM. No athlete will be permitted to play in any Fall Sports until they have their physicals.
Exams can be completed by your own family doctor or by the doctor that conducts the exams for the school (Dr. Bill Keenan).
Students in 6th grade at the Elementary School need to check in with Mrs. Linda Lockcuff in the school office by Tuesday so it can be determined who will need physicals. Students needing physicals will be escorted to the High School on Wednesday at 11:30 AM for their exams.

3. ROWING: Any individuals in grades 7 thru 12 that are interested in learning to Row, please contact Mrs. Sheila Hartung at 971-8258 or email at
hartungsq@comcast.net They are a member of the Central Pennsylvania Rowing Association and they will be having instructional classes from 21 to 25 June 2010 and 19 to 23 July 2010 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. You will learn to row in an eight-seat sculling boat and the training will be conducted at the Rowing Center in Shamokin Dam (across from Tedd's Landing Restaurant).
The cost is $85 for Lewisburg Area residents and $89.50 for out of the area residents. The fee includes coaching/instruction and equipment use. You can register at:

Also, they have classes for adults from ages 18 to 99 (or older) and they are conducted from 14 to 19 June and 12 to 17 July 2010. The fee is $95.00 for Lewisburg Area residents and $99.50 for out of the area residents. For additional information, contact Mrs. Sheila Hartung at 971-8258 or email at
