"The Neumann Showcase":
"The Neumann Showcase" will be held on Friday, April 30 at 7 pm at the St. John Neumann High School Catholic Community Center. The event will feature the vocal talents of 7th-12th grade St. John Neumannn students. There is no admission fee. However, donations will be accepted at the door. All donations will be given to Catholic Social Services. All are cordially invited to attend.
Student of the Quarter:
Congratulations to James Gibbons, SJNRA freshman, who has been selected as the SJNRA Student of the Quarter. His photo will be displayed at Wegmans in the near future.
Junior Rotarians:
Congratulations to Olivia Pierce and Holly Wolfe, sixth grade SJNRA students, and Amy Southard and Nathan McFadden, eighth grade SJNRA students, who were recently named Junior Rotarians. They will be honored at an upcoming ceremony.
2nd Mile Leadership Conference Winners:
Congratulations to SJNRA seniors Katie Lisi, Alex Entz, Phillip Trometter and Allison Cheatle for placing first in the 2nd Mile Leadership Conference Project. Their project involved bringing the Neumann Olympics to the elementary school campus students.
Statistics Poster Contest Winners:
Mrs. Wendy Trenholm's High School Statistics class recently partcipated in the Pennsylvania Statistics Poster Contest. SJNRA submitted three posters, which displayed information from a sample survey of the students' own choice. Of 487 posters submitted throughout the state of Pennsylvania, SJNRA took both 2nd and 4th place! Congratulations to the 2nd place team, consisting of Juniors Hannah Facey, Hannah Harris and Audrey Pasnello, and the 4th place team, consisting of Senior Chelsea Martin, and Juniors Sarah Clymer, Ian Labate and Jeremy Garcia.
Auction Prizes Still Needed:
We are still in need of auction prizes, with a value of $25 or more, for our upcoming Gala Auction 2010, to be held at the Williamsport Country Club on June 19. If you can donate a prize, please respond to this email. Also, donations of wine and liquor for our "Wine and Spirits" auction prize are still be accepted at Dice Surgical, 1300 Sheridan Street, Williamsport. Please consider donating a bottle or two.
