The Neumann Alumni game will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 3 pm at the SJNRA High School Gym.  We have many alumni from 1972-2009 ready to get back in their KNIGHTS uniforms and play on the Neumann court.  Because of the overwhelming response, we will have two full-regulation games, complete with referees, timekeepers, coaches and lots of fans, cheering on the Knights!

 

There is no fee to attend this game.  Spectators are being asked to bring a non-perishable food item upon admission to the gym.  SJNRA Senior Beth Ratke is collecting the food for the needy in our area.  It will be donated to St. Anthony's Center.

 

The concession stand will be open and you can purchase food and drink. All proceeds from the concession stand will go to the SJNRA Senior Class. SJNRA senior Chelsea Martin will also be selling her CDs. All CD proceeds will be donated to ShowHope, a foundation supporting the adoption of homeless children. These would make great Christmas presents!

 

If you have signed up your child for Beth's Basketball Clinic, please plan to arrive at the High School gym between 12:30 and 12:45 pm.  No child will be admitted without a signed permission form.  If you did not turn one in, we will have extra ones at the registration table. Simply stop in and fill one out.

 

SJNRA Senior Ann Kaufman is presenting a Christmas Concert entitled, “Sights, Sounds and Songs of the Season” on Saturday, December 19 at 7 pm at the Faxon-Kenman United Methodist Church, Clayton and Sheridan Streets, Williamsport. In lieu of an admission fee, Ann asks that guests donate an item for military care packages (cards, candy, batteries, puzzle books, socks, snacks, etc.). Monetary donations will also be accepted to defray the postage cost in sending the care packages to our military men and women. Ann will assemble and mail out the military care packages. Come out and enjoy a beautiful night of Christmas music!

 

In preparation for the St. John Neumann Knights Homecoming Game versus Millville, we will have an Academy-wide dress down day on Tuesday, December 22. Please follow the guidelines in the SJNRA handbook for appropriate spirit dress down attire. Come out and cheer on the St. John Neumann boys’ JV and Varsity basketball teams as they take on Millville on Tuesday night. JV game starts at 6 pm; Varsity at approximately 7:30 pm. Let’s pack the gym with KNIGHTS fans!

 

Ryan Workman, 2009 SJNRA alumnus, is currently studying voice and opera at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.  Ryan will be performing in “Star of Wonder: An Epiphany Benefit Concert” at Saint Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 7 pm. A bus has been contracted to transport concert-goers to this event. The bus will leave at 2:45 pm from Robert M.
