Basketball Clinic
SJNRA senior Beth Ratke is organizing a Basketball Clinic for SJNRA students in grades 1-8. The clinic will take place at the SJNRA HS gym on Sunday, December 20 from 1-3 pm. Beth will go over basic basketball skills. There is no fee for the clinic. Beth simply asks that each participant donate a non-perishable food item. She will be donating the food to St. Anthony's Center. Information about the Clinic and a sign-up form will be sent home to SJNRA students in grades 1-6 in this Thursday's white envelope. If you have a child in 7th or 8th grade, and would like them to attend the clinic, please respond to this email, and a permission form will be sent home with your child.
Neumann Parent Athletic Association (NPAA) Meeting
The next NPAA meeting will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, December 2 in the SJNRA High School Library. Anyone interested in the sporting programs at SJNRA should plan to attend.
SJNRA Student Volunteers Needed for Family Fun Night
In conjunction with the Scholastic Book Fair, the SJNRA Sheridan Street Campus will have a Family Fun Night on Friday, December 4 from 6-8 pm in the Sheridan Street gym. Junior/senior high school students are needed to help out with this event from 5:30-8pm. Service hours will be given for any 7th-12th grader interested in volunteering. If your child wants to volunteer, please reply to this email with their name and phone number. Thank you!
SJNRA Alumnus to Perform at St. Peter’s Cathedral
Ryan Workman, 2009 SJNRA alumnus, is currently studying voice and opera at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. Ryan will be performing in “Star of Wonder: An Epiphany Benefit Concert” at Saint Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 7 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students, and can be purchased by calling 570-344-7231 or by visiting www.StPetersCathedral.org.
