GIRLS VARSITY SOCCER TEAM MEETING:  Mr. Don Shade, the new Girls Varsity Soccer
Coach, will have a team meeting to explain this year's program and to answer any
questions.  Due to the gym floor being refinished, the meeting will be held either
in the School Cafeteria or Library on Thursday, 16 July at 6:30 PM.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting.  Mr. Shade has extensive
experience as a girls soccer coach and was the Girls Head Varsity Soccer Coach at
South Williamsport from 1999 until 2005 and compiled a career record of 101-50-6.
Assisting Mr. Shade is Mr. Matt Reigle, who was a standout soccer player for
Williamsport High School and also was an assistant girls varsity soccer coach with
Mr. Marc Lovecchio at Williamsport H.S. from 2006-2008 and Mr. Reigle just complete
a 9 month soccer training program in England.  Also assisting as a coach is Miss
Elizabeth Deljanovan, who was also a standout player for the South Williamsport
soccer team and is currently a teacher at that school.  If anybody has any questions

or his home at 322-7146.  Again, any girls in grades 9 thru 12 that are interested
in playing soccer should attend this meeting.

PLAYERS STILL NEEDED:  We are still in need of players in the following sports:

Jr. High Softball          -   8 players have signed up  - need at least 11 players
Girls Tennis                -   6 players have signed up  -  need at least  8 players
Co-Ed Golf                  -   3 players have signed up  -  need at least  6 players
Boys Varsity Soccer -   7 players have signed up  -  need at least  14 players
Girls Varsity Soccer  - 12 players have signed up  -  need 2 or 3 more players
 

IF WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE TEAMS, THEN THE PROGRAM WILL BE CANCELLED AND WE WILL NOT FIELD A TEAM IN THAT SPORT. ANYBODY THAT IS INTERESTED IN SIGNING UP, PLEASE CONTACT MR. LUPACCHINO AT 323-9953, EXT. 217 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

CHEERLEADING:  There currently are 6 girls involved with the cheerleading squad.
This program is open to students in 5th grade thru 12th grade.  If there is enough interest,
there will be a Jr. High squad and a varsity squad.  The cheerleaders are currently
practicing Monday thru Friday from 9 AM to 11 AM in the school music room and will
move to the school gym as soon as the refinishing of the gym floor is completed o/a
20 July.  If anybody is interested in joining the cheerleading squad, contact the
coach, Miss Heather Walker at 321-5810.

FOOTBALL AND WRESTLING:  For your information, we are currently in a Co-Op program
with Loyalsock Township High School for any athletes that want to play football or
wrestle and you must sign up with our office and insure you have a physical exam
before you start working out in their program.  They are currently having "Open
Weight Training" for Football on Monday thru Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.  The
Football program is for grades 7 thru 12 and Wrestling is for grades 9 thru 12.

SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS NEEDED:   We are in need of bus drivers to support all our sports
teams throughout the school year.  At present we currently have a minimum of 67 bus
trips scheduled for our regular season league games and only 27 dates filled with
drivers that are available to drive for us.  Many of our Spring and Fall games
require a departure time of around 2:15 PM for a 4:00 or 4:30 PM scheduled game and
in the Winter, there is a departure time of around 4:15 for a 6:00 PM game.  Most of
our drivers work for other school districts and are not usually available for a 2:15
PM departure.  If anybody has a school bus license or knows anybody that is
available to drive for us, please give Mr. Lupacchino a call at 323-9953, ext 217.
The pay scale is $12.00 per hour for each trip from time of departure until return.
